This local election has made us choose between a bumbling buffoon and a clueless vacuum.
The local elections have happened. It’s been disastrous for Labour and brilliant for the Tories. The former gambled on a 44 year old seat at Hartlepool, but overestimated the working class vote. Labour have traditionally tried to present themselves as the party of the working class, but they forget that in working class areas, immigration is one of the biggest priorities and a hard Brexit means less immigrants. The working class voters turned on Labour because they felt they weren’t being listened to - that their concerns about immigration weren’t being dealt with and so handed over to the Tories whose Home Secretary is cracking down on illegal immigration.
But this is the worst bunch of politicians in years. This local election we were choosing the fate of the country between a bumbling bufoon and a clueless vacuum.
