Back to weeding, planting plants and bashing ‘Sex and the City’.
I went back to the Community Garden I volunteer at this Saturday. It was the first time I’d been in months. I’ve been off because of bad mental health, but I’m back now and was ready to get on with some more weeding, hoeing and planting plants.
The garden is a lovely place - an inner-city green oasis. The staff are lovely; so supportive, more like caring parents than teachers or gardeners for that matter.
I really enjoy what I’m doing gardening-wise at the gardens and at Rushcliffe Country Park. I’m increasingly thinking of this as a career or some sort of outdoor job at least. It’s physical, it’s persuasive and it’s damn therapeutic. Damn good career material.
